5 Artists You Might Love!
A recent visit to Hollywood
As you know, I LOVE music. I write my own songs, and love to play piano, guitar and ukulele. Recently, I made a YouTube channel called Sienna’s Space (Like this blog). I started off singing and posting Grace VanderWaal covers, and then my own original song (Running Free). I wrote it when I was feeling like doing everything my own way. I wanted to run with the wind in my hair! Escape The Ordinary was my second posted original song. It is a fun one, on my ukulele. It sounds kind of funny, but I wrote it when my room was a disaster and needed a huge clean! I wanted to escape my bedroom!
One of my favorites is Falling Slowly by Marketa Irglova & Glen Hansard. My friend Jessie and I were listening to the song and thought about making it a bit different. We sat for an hour figuring out the beginning chords. After that, we used GuitarTabs for the rest. It was so much fun, but a lot of work. We tried recording it four times and then gave up. After another hour, we tried recording again. This time, we only had ten minuets left (my dad was coming to pick me up - eek). Winner! We finally got the video.
Here are 5 artists that you might enjoy:
Grace is awesome! Her first album came out just last year. It is called Just The Beginning. She was twelve when she won America’s Got Talent in 2016 (see here for her most famous performance). I Don’t Know My Name is my all time favorite. I also like Beautiful Thing and Clay. Those songs were on her shorter album, released after America’s Got Talent.
My top five songs on Just The Beginning are So Much More Than This, Florets, Escape My Mind, Talk Good, and Moonlight.
I love her old songs. Her new ones are darker and for an older audience, I don't listen to them. My favorite album is 1989 and Red. My favorite songs are New Romantics, Style, Red, Everything Has Changed, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Back to December and The Best Day. Stick to the old albums!
Alessia is really good! I like her Know-It-All album. I love Wild Things, Scars to Your Beautiful, Seventeen and Stars. The very best are Wild Things and Scars to Your Beautiful!
Lauren is so good. She writes all Christian music and all of them are amazing! I love Trust in You, My Revival, Here’s My Heart and Come Alive (Dry Bones).
Cozi is an amazing singer, and is also Hazel in Dolphin Tale. She wrote Brave Souls for the movie, and then Handpainted. Handpainted is my favorite if I had to choose. It is very beautiful and I love singing it while playing piano.
Let me know in the comments what song you would like me to cover next!
Happy listening,
