I love fashion! I love to figure out my outfits every day and make sure they are just my style! I love to look in stores and put different outfits together. I would love to have my own line of clothing one day. If I had very own my fashion line I would make a variety of clothing; Summer, Winter, Fall, Spring, I would make it happen with style. I would want people to like the stylish, trendy, casual, fun looks I create. I love to make patterns and colours work together perfectly.

Last week, I found a designer book at Indigo that was $7.95. I used my own money to buy it. In the book, you start with the outline of a girl, and then you sketch clothes on her. The minute I got it, I started drawing right away.

I use a pencil, because I can shade better, and if I make a mistake, I can erase it. I like how at the beginning of the book, it shows a bunch of shirts, pants, accessories, etc. to inspire. Sometimes I get ideas from that, but most of the time I just use my imagination. I love that it is just a bit bigger than my hand so I can take it with me on errands or to the park.

I love style. And I love the song ‘Style’ by Taylor Swift! I also love styling my sisters and friends. With this book, the styles are endless!

Sometimes I pretend I am a designer for my sisters and friends. I ask where they are pretending to go. If they are going to dance I sketch an outfit that would work for hip-hop; if they are going to a fancy party I sketch a beautiful gown. Also, I draw outfits according to the season. This week I drew a lot of outfits that I would want to wear for summer. I cannot wait for summer!!!

My next style I’m going to design is a crop-top sweatshirt, and ripped jeans. I have one shirt that is a crop-top, and I like to put a white tank top underneath, then I can wear it in winter and summer!

I am obsessed with Taylor Swift. Last year when we were at Indigo I saw a Taylor Swift fashion book with a picture of Taylor right on the front. It was my mission to buy that book. It is called ‘Dress up Taylor Swift’, and it comes with pages of Taylor and her friends, and at the back of the book, it has stickers and says what page to put them on. The stickers have Taylor’s outfits and you get to choose which outfit to dress her in. My favorite page is Taylor in the 22 music video. I loved choosing the accessories and outfits because I would love to own the outfits I put on T. Swift.

It was a great starter book if you’re not confident in sketching. I’m glad I got the book because it made me love fashion even more!

Anyone can make designs, and have fun with fashion. You just have to sharpen your pencil, and use your imagination!
