Dinner & a Movie: Cars
Ka-chow! ⚡️ This week, we zoomed into Radiator Springs for a dinner and movie night inspired by one of our all-time favorite Disney Pixar classics—Cars! Who doesn’t love Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and the whole gang?
We leaned into all the Route 66 charm and created a themed night full of simple fun and nostalgia..
Cars is the perfect feel-good film for all ages, packed with humor, heart, and just the right amount of adventure. Plus, it might just leave you dreaming of a road trip (or a Disney trip... hello, Radiator Springs Racers!).
🍽️ The Menu:
We kept it fun, simple, and on theme perfect for a fun family night.
🍔 Lightning McCheese Burgers – Classic cheeseburgers that are as fast and tasty as the champ himself.
🍟 Rust-eze Waffle Fries – Because every racer needs a pit stop snack.
🥤 Flo’s Famous Milkshakes – Straight from Flo’s V8 Café. We did vanilla and chocolate with whipped cream and a cherry on top!
🍒 Mater’s Oil (Cherry Coke) – Tow Mater-approved, of course!
The Tablescape:
Setting the stage is half the fun! We went all in on the race day vibes with touches that brought the Cars universe to life:
🔴 Red baskets lined with checkered paper for that retro diner feel
🛣️ A DIY racetrack centerpiece made from black paper and white tape
🚧 Mini pylons scattered around the table for a playful pit-stop look
🌹 A pylon turned flower vase
🏁 Checkered flags and character cars on the track
There’s something so joyful about taking a theme and running with it (or racing with it, in this case). These nights don’t have to be complicated to be memorable—they just take a little intention, a bit of prep, and a willingness to play. Now I’m dreaming of Disneyland and Radiator Springs Racers... who’s with me?
