Buddy the Elf Family Fun Night

Day 4 - Buddy the Elf.png
So Dad, I planned our whole day. First we’ll make snow angels for two hours. And then we’ll go ice skating. And then we’ll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse Cookie Dough as fast as we can. And then, to finish, we’ll snuggle.

This was a fun day. The girls took care of decor and decorated our family room like Buddy did in the movie. I loved it so much, I’ve kept it all intact. Thankful for the interchanging colours of our Christmas tree. I’m usually as strictly white lights, but the colours came in handy to make it extra fun.

We are lacking snow on the West Coast so the girls had a snowball fight using fake snowballs I purchased years ago. They made personalized shields out of cardboard and set up forts to extend the fun.

We watched a Netflix special on the making of Elf called “The Holiday Movies the Made Us” before we kicked off watching Elf. It was so good seeing how it came to be and made watching it that much more interesting.

I made classic spaghetti for dinner with a side of Buddy spaghetti topped with maple syrup and candy for everyone to taste. After one noodle they passed. Ha Ha!

Today took little to no prep and was so much fun! We will do this again next year!!

Go find your inner Buddy and let loose!
